Friday 20th June is the big day to celebrate the achievements of everyone who participated in this project.
I’m sure you’ll agree, it’s been a steep learning curve for us all. I hope you’ve enjoyed the experience as much as I have.
As we head into the next phase of elearning and online communities in East Gippsland, it will be useful to reflect on aspects of the project that we’ve enjoyed or disliked, what we’ve found to be useful .., or not, as the case may be and what we see as the future of new technology in our communities. I do think we generally agree that these tools do provide us with innovative opportunities for engagement.
We are welcoming Michael Chalk, an innovative adult educator to our workshop on Friday. He will introduce some new web 2.0 elearning tools and describe how he has used these in his own work. I am sure we will all be interested to hear Michael’s presentation.
Hope to see you there.

Hi everyone
Well it is hard to believe that we are already half way through February. I hope everyone had a great break over summer. I was lucky enough to have a wonderful 3 weeks in Vietnam and Cambodia.
I am now well and truly back at work and thought it was time to let you know that Jan and I are again back online.
We are keeping the e-learning egipps site open, so if anyone in your organisation wants to participate, please feel free to invite them in.
Way back in November, we showcased the project at 3 venues - the Aust Flexible Learning Forum in Cairns, the CONverge conference in Geelong and an online eshow n tell for the EdNa network. We have had lots of positive feedback and interest shown in the model.
We still have one face 2 face session to present, so will be in touch individually quite soon. It will be good to catch up with everyone again.
In the meantime, please continue to PLAY with and enjoy your web 2.0 journey.
Talk soon
Denece

Hi everyone
Thought it was time I touched base again. It’s been a busy time for everyone lately. Jan and I are getting ready to go to Cairns to Showcase our project to the Framework Network and Adult Learning Australia.
We are meeting with the other project leaders to share stories about our project, then participating in some presentations both f2f and online.
Before we leave Victoria, we are also presenting f2f (Jan) and online (myself and Sue) at the CONverge conference in Geelong.
Trust you are all keeping well - I look forward to seeing some more activity on the 23 things soon.
Regards
DS

Greetings all,
I’ve just found another great site called fototagger - it allows you to add annotations to your phots. Discovered it on a Family History software User Group, then discovered that it links to bloggs and flickr as well.
http://www.fototagger.com/
Check out a screen shot here -Â if you move your cursor over the image the annotations will appear.
Have fun!
Cheers

I’ve been ‘playing’ - just like Helen Blowers told us we should do. I discovered a site called photobucket - a bit like other phot sharing applications, but the first that I’ve actually tried. I’m not exactly sure if what I have done will put a link to my slide show (of Denece and my visit to Mallacoota and Bendoc) or if it will show the slide show in this blog. I hope the latter.
How are you all going with the 23 Things? Having fun we hope.
Cheers
Jan

It was great to finally catch up with Pam and Liz in their own backyard. We had some problems with LiveClassroom and my camera at Bemm, but Orbost went off really well.
I was going to post a photo here, but seems I’ve used up my quota. I’ll add it to our Flickr group instead.

Bye for now

Jan and Denece here we are trying to make some plans for our proposed on-line PD sessions. It has just occurred to us that it would be great if we knew from each of you the days and times you are available at your centre or if you are available at home at other times. Could you please send us an email with that information? Dates we have tentatively planned are: If you wouuld like to do and audio check, please login a few minutes early
Monday 8th October at 1:30 to 3:00 (Accessing On-line Information / databases etc. run by Denece)
Monday 22nd October 1:30 to3:00 (Effective on-line communication, including how to use LiveClassroom as a presenter hopefully run by guru Clint Smith)
Tuesday 20th November 1:30 to 3:00 - topic to be decided by participants. Please let us know if there is anything you would particularly like us to focus on for this session. Denece and I will spend a few minutes reporting back about the e-learning showcase conference we will have attended by then
